Project Overview

  • The website was built more than a decade ago using Oracle and they never migrated to the latest version even within Oracle.
  • It was running on Oracle 10.2 which was long expired by the time we started this project. They were running on legacy support from Oracle.
  • The content was unstructured in nature and their goal was to go with a Content Management System with structured data and improved security.

Our Approach

  • We started with a in-depth content analysis and designed a content architecture in Drupal 9.
  • It is not possible to migrate directly from Oracle 10.2 to Drupal. We had to migrate to the latest version of Oracle which was 19 at that time. To get to 19, we had to migrate from 10.2 to 12 and then to 19.
  • Then we wrote custom migration scripts to migrate the data from Oracle 19 to Drupal 9’s database according to the content architecture we designed.
  • We also used a new custom design which is mobile friendly.
  • The website is hosted on Acquia cloud and we are actively maintaining the website by keeping it up-to-date and adding new features whenever required.
