Datacon Dental Systems is a dental practices software company founded in 1973. They are serving dentists in the USA for the past 30 years. Datacon’s software has evolved from minicomputers connected to dot matrix printers to today supporting a modern, multi-platform network. Over the years, it has embraced new technologies as they evolved and has been provided a smooth upgrade to its users such that it protected the hardware and software investments of its users. It has now evolved to move forward with development for use on iPads and other mobile devices. The modern Datacon software package can include any mix of Mac or Windows based computers to web servers with any number of X-ray or imaging systems connected to it.

Project Overview

The website was running on Drupal 6. It had to be migrated to the latest version of Drupal.
The design of the website was very old and outdated. It was required to redesign the website to a modern design.
The website was not mobile responsive.

Our Approach

We migrated the website from Drupal 6 to 9.
A new design for the website was first drafted using Adobe XD.
After the client’s approval, the design was converted into HTML and CSS designs and later it was built as a complete Drupal 9 theme.
The new design was built using the latest design standards so that it is compliant with on-page SEO strategies.
It was made sure that the design is responsive to devices of different screen sizes and offered a great User Experience.
The performance of the website was also considerably increased.
